Child custody lawyer Robert C. Hoehlen is in prison for a traffic ticket.
Hoeslen was convicted of driving while intoxicated, causing an accident, and failing to stop for a police officer.
The case stemmed from a November 2016 traffic accident in which he hit a tree, which sent him to the hospital.
Hotesen’s lawyer argued that Hoesen had a legal right to travel.
Hoteen was initially given a suspended sentence, but that was reduced to probation.
Hodeen served a month in jail and then served two months of probation.
The judge was not impressed.
The prosecutor, in a separate case, was not.
Hodesen’s wife and his children sued Hodeesen and the state for negligence, arguing that Hodeens negligence contributed to his death.
Hohlen was sentenced to three months in prison and ordered to pay $500 in restitution.
Hoseen was not able to afford the legal fees.
Hosen, Hoselen’s defense attorney, has since filed a motion to have Hoseeens conviction overturned.
Hosesen is now serving three months of a three-month sentence, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
