Lincoln lawyer cast in Lincoln, Nebraska murder case

LOS ANGELES — A lawyer for a Lincoln, Neb., man accused of killing a woman he met on the Internet has been charged with felony murder.

The Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office announced Thursday that the 55-year-old Richard K. Martin is charged with capital murder in the June 26 slaying of 33-yearold Sarah Miller.

He was arraigned Thursday in the Jefferson County Courthouse in Lincoln.

A source with knowledge of the investigation said Martin was a member of the Black Law Enforcement Council, a group that opposes police accountability and civil rights issues.
